A Brazilian guy, born in Belo Horizonte-MG, the third biggest city in Brazil, married since 2008 with my incredible love Marcela, and “a Jacob (not a dog) dad”. My first contact with IT happened when I was in the high school and I was 14 years old. At that time, I wondered and projected myself in the future when then I realized that technology could be more than a hobby. Therefore, I decided to start a technical course in computing. My grandfather played a significant role in my decision and he helped me to pay part of my tuition. I studied the high school in the morning/afternoon and technical computing course in the evening. It was my start up and for sure “love at first sight”. Within a few weeks of classes, I began to work (freelance) for myself, fixing neighbors and family members computers and then, when I least expected, one of my teachers invited me to be an intern and student tutor at the computer school. It was amazing! Immediately after this course conclusion, I started the Bachelor of Computer Information Systems. I had not enough money to pay the tuition but fortunately, I received a 70% scholarship. After 8 months of study, I participated in the recruitment process in one of the biggest IT software company of Latin America, called TOTVS. After 5 interviews stages, I was hired for Support Technician role. The work experiences were so deeply and incredible! At the end of 2005, I received an invite to work in other multinational company called SGS. It included a huge challenge because they joined venture a business with a traditional Brazilian company and there were to implement a complete IT environment (hardware, software, infrastructure, partner and so on). This was my opportunity to know and deal with all the IT areas and focus on IT Infrastructure and Support. Finally, in 2008 I had an opportunity to work at GEOSOL as an IT Infrastructure Systems Engineer and also act as a team leader. There were many complex challenges especially because I was succeeding an employee who had retired. At the same time, the GEOSOL Company had launched in the international market and it also opened the capital in the stock exchange. I had to face with every day new challenges and new technologies which required research/study and also drive the IT environment in the right way. I realized that I need to study more and then, I started a Master Degree in IT Infrastructure Management based in open source software. It was so important and provided a strong knowledge basement for my career. In 2015, my wife and I decided to change the direction of our lives, looking for a better future. Therefore, we evaluated some well-established country to study, work and immigrate. We chose to invest in Canada to be our new home. Unfortunately, as a part this decision, I had to left the GEOSOL, an incredible company that made part of my life (not just professionally, but also personally). I've spent 8 months providing all the needed support for GEOSOL in order to avoid any kind of problem due to my leaving. Then, in October of 2016, after more than a year of planning our transition, we moved to Canada.

Since I was a child, I have been playing indoor soccer, volleyball, and basketball. As a traditional Brazilian guy, soccer is my favorite sport and it is a must to play on weekends. Defending is my specialty, but that does not mean only to defend. I enjoy seeing the team players positioning on the court and organize the game.
Always when it is possible I have tried to study and make my English skills better. The ways that I use are: reading English newspapers on the internet, watching CNN and BBC news on TV, chatting with English natives and playing video games.
Inviting friends and our family to go to our home and cook a delicious Brazilian BBQ is leisure to me. We (My wife and I) use a real charcoal. We still learning some techniques and trying to improve the meat flavor. My wife is a good cooker too, but she prefers to use an oven in the kitchen rather than cook outside.
